Brief description of the project
The project site is located in a deciduous forest on the banks of the Volga and Domkovka rivers. The project is intended to preserve the existing vegetation as much as possible and fit the development in the natural environment through "picturesque" planning structure: the plasticity of the path network is inspired by the pattern veins of oak leaves - one of the most widespread plants of the Uglich region. In iconic architectural structures, such as the hotel near the water, the outstanding local artifacts are stylistically "reinterpreted": the tiered bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kalyazin, openwork wooden platbands, Uglich figured masonry and Kalyazin lace.
