Doubters won't stall renovation

More than 60% of tenants of two five-storey buildings on Konstantin Fedina Street have already agreed to move to the house on the 5th Park. This was reported by the head of the Department of Urban Development Policy of the capital Sergey Lyovkin.

"For three days, from 10 to 12 February, 141 out of 160 families have examined comfort class finishing apartments. 85 families have already agreed to the proposed option and are ready to move, "- said Sergei Lyovkin.

The final decision has not yet taken 30% of the program participants. Many are considering the possibility of buying additional space.

"Since tenants will be offered different options, the move will begin before absolutely all tenants of one five-story building will agree to move. After all, the renovation program should not stand still at such points, otherwise its implementation will drag on for decades," explained the founder of the company Master`s Plan Yulia Zubarik.

"A plus of the renovation program is that the city provides a variation of relocation. There are at least two options. Everyone is different and so are their needs. Someone wants to live on higher ground, someone on the first floor, someone prefers quiet yards, someone likes to live in the center of events. Of course, one building can't meet the needs of all residents. In all areas where renovation is underway, there are from 3 to 5 starting sites to run the wave of renovation, and then on the territory of the houses to be demolished to build new residential buildings for the following residents - program participants. So the residents always have a choice at any stage of the program implementation", - added Yulia Zubarik.
